Description
This soft regal shrug is the perfect garment for cool moments on warm spring days. The yarn is handspun and dyed so that one end of the skein has color and the other end remains a natural white. Pam Allen used the undyed portion of the skeins to knit deep lace cuffs, a delicate counterpoint to the yarn’s rustic qualities. The remainder of the shrug is worked back and forth without breaking the yarn so that the subtle colors of the dyed portion create a wide stripe pattern across the back. The piece has no neck opening but is worn as a rectangle with holes for the arms.
